Overview
In industries where precision and innovation rely on deep focus, every minute of attention matters. When engineers and researchers spend time juggling routine HR or operational tasks, progress slows down. To help employees stay focused on what truly matters, their craft, the company set out to design a unified Employee Operations Platform that connects HR, booking, learning, and internal communication into one clear, reliable system.
Challenge
The company’s internal system already handled HR and operational tasks, but its interface was overly complex and difficult to navigate. Employees struggled with inefficient flows and an outdated user experience, which made daily operations slower and more frustrating.
My Role
I worked as the lead and sole product designer, responsible for UX strategy, interface design, and the creation of a component library. I collaborated closely with product owners and developers, ensuring a consistent and scalable user experience across desktop and mobile.
Process
Understanding the Requirements
User flows and information architecture were created in Miro together with product owners and business analysts. This helped define priorities, visualize logic, and establish a clear structure for the platform before starting detailed design. All documentation and task tracking were managed in Jira, where tasks were organized and reviewed by priority.
Designing for Clarity and Speed
The platform was designed entirely from scratch with a focus on clarity, simplicity, and logical consistency. Layouts, components, and interactions were structured to make routine operations quick and intuitive, allowing employees to complete daily tasks with confidence and minimal effort.
Visual Design & Component Library
The interface followed a clean and accessible visual style. A UI component library was created from scratch to ensure a unified look and feel across the entire platform and to simplify collaboration with developers. It included buttons, form elements, cards, tables, and contextual feedback components, along with clearly defined principles for color, typography, and spacing. The library was designed to maintain consistency across multiple internal tools and to serve as a foundation for a future design system.
Key Features
Each module shared a consistent interaction language that made the platform feel cohesive and effortless to use.

Summary & Impact
The platform unified everyday workflows across HR, booking, learning, and other internal tasks into one seamless environment, creating a solid foundation that can be expanded and scaled over time as the company’s processes continue to evolve.
Although specific metrics remain under NDA, internal feedback showed that employees experienced the system as intuitive, fast, and visually pleasant to use. Users were no longer frustrated by everyday operations, appreciated the convenient onboarding process, and found the overall experience more consistent and user-friendly across teams.
Reflection
This project strengthened my ability to structure and document design work within a large, multi-stakeholder environment. It taught me how to manage priorities across multiple product owners, maintain process clarity, and ensure that all decisions were properly tracked and aligned. Close collaboration with developers also became a key part of the workflow, helping to bridge design and implementation while keeping the final product consistent and high-quality.
